Dr. Reese Odenwelder
DVM
Certifications: Fear Free Certified, American Association of Feline Practitioners
Dr. Reese is a Florida native who grew up dreaming of one day becoming a “Dogtor”. Combining her passion for science and medicine with her love of animals, she attended the University of Florida to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2013, Reese moved to Colorado to join fellow outdoor enthusiasts and pet lovers.
She quickly fell in love with the mountain town lifestyle and met her husband, Chris. Together they adopted Doug, a dog with a fun mix of goof and adventure. Reese’s family has continued to grow, with 3 Steamboat kiddos and 3 crazy cats keeping her life exciting!

She always helps patients feel safe and cared for as soon as they arrive, and strives for them to feel supported throughout their experience with us.
Jackie Connor
RVT
Certifications: Fear Free Certified
Jackie was born and raised in central Florida, where she spent most of her free time caring for her pets and riding and showing horses in the hunter circuit. Jackie was still in high school when she signed on for her first job at a veterinary clinic. She advanced her career as a technician, then enrolled in St. Petersburg College in 2015 to study veterinary technology. She completed her degree while working full-time and graduated in 2017. After helping pets at two other veterinary hospitals in Florida for a total of 12 years, Jackie decided to make a change and moved to Steamboat Springs in the fall of 2020. She has been a Registered Veterinary Technician with Ski Town Animal Hospital ever since.
Jackie is particularly fond of anesthesia and surgical cases, and her favorite part of the job is providing care and comfort during your pet’s stay with us. In her free time, Jackie likes hiking, exploring the outdoors and snowboarding. At home, she has three cats and a Catahoula/Bulldog mix named Blue.

Kali Cole

Certifications: Fear Free Certified
Kali graduated from NC State University with a bachelors degree in Animal Science in 2020. During her time there she worked extensively with both horses and dogs, where she found her love of animal behavior and husbandry expanding. After graduating, she worked with an animal behaviorist in Florida before moving to Texas. There, she had the opportunity work with both equine and canine trainers who specialized in rehabilitating animals with behavioral concerns through positive reinforcement and natural horsemanship.
Since moving to Steamboat in 2024 with her partner, her two dogs, and a cat, Kali has enjoyed experiencing the beautiful mountains of Colorado. They love to spend their weekends hiking, climbing, and being out in nature. She is so excited to be a part of this community, where she has the opportunity to help people care for their fur babies using the Fear Free and wholistic techniques she has learned over the years.
